Our Wedding

Message From Couple

1. Can I book directly with Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana?

All reservations must be made through the Destify link. If it is not done through them, you will not be able to attend the wedding events. Please book through the link we provide you!

2. Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

There are no reservation blocks. You MUST book through the destify link on this website. The rooms are only held once a reservation has been made! We strongly recommend placing the minimum deposit as soon as you know you will be joining us!

3. Am I allowed to bring my children?

We love your children immensely, but this is an adults only destination wedding! We hope to celebrate with your little ones at a different time!

4. Is there a minimum night stay?

Yes, the Hard Rock Punta Cana does require a minimum of a 3-night stay (this could change). However, we highly encourage you to come for as long as you would like! We are hoping to start seeing guests on Wednesday, April 9th with a stay through Sunday/Monday April 13th/14th.

5. How long are the bride and groom staying?

Keily and Richard will be at the resort from Monday, April 7th – Monday April 14th. We would love for you to spend as much time as you can here with us!

6. What day is the wedding?

Our special day will take place on the evening of Friday April 11th, 2025!

7. What is the dress code for your wedding?

The attire is semi-formal. The couple kindly requests no flip flops, shorts, or Hawaiian shirts.

8. Is there anything that’s not included in our trip stay?

Although tips are technically included in your resort package, it's recommended to bring some 1’s and 5’s for the housekeepers, bartenders, and servers taking care of you throughout your stay. Keep in mind, your shuttle driver isn’t a part of the resort staff, so bring some cash for your transfer driver. Additional excursions or spa treatments are also not included and can be paid for with a credit card at the hotel.

9. Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner?

Yes! We will be having an all-guests Rehearsal/ Welcome dinner for all those that make the trip.

10. Should I bring a gift to your destination wedding?

Since you’re traveling for our wedding, making the trip is a gift in itself — physical gifts are not necessary! If you do choose to browse our wedding registry, however, any items on the list can be shipped directly to our home address.

11. Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Invitations will be mailed out directly to you later in 2024 with more detailed information about the week and how to formally RSVP!

12. Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors.

13. What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour prior to the reception.

14. Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Yes! Dinner will be served at the reception. While the menu is still being decided, we speak from experience that the food is spectacular!

15. I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?

Us! Please do not hesitate to reach out to either Keily (419-202-5552) or Richard (419-357-1536) to help with any questions you may have. You can also reach out to Destify directly to chat with their 24/7 support team.

About Us

Nearly two decades ago fate struck when Richard became best friends with Caleb, Keily's brother. In making that friendship, we could not imagine the incredible turn life would take by bringing us together.

We spent our first date at the Angry Bull in Huron, Ohio not only discovering more about each other, but learning that they served quite possibly the worst brussels sprouts. Who knew those brussels spouts would bring our love for food and exploration to the forefront. Whether it's hopping on a plane to a new destination or embarking on a culinary journey across the country, we're always ready for an adventure.

Speaking of shared loves, we can't forget to mention our fur babies, Zuko and Lola. They're not just pets; they're cherished members of our family who bring endless joy and laughter into our lives.

Our journey as a couple has taken us through various cities and experiences, from Keily's passionate work with children at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, to her adventurous stint as a travel nurse in Dayton and later (our favorite) Boston. It was in Boston where our love truly flourished amidst endless oysters and lobster rolls. Richard fondly recalls realizing that Keily was the one during their time in the historic city.

In July 2023, our time being long distance was over. Fast forward seven months, and we found ourselves back in Boston for the most thoughtful and well executed proposal. The love we have felt since that February weekend is immeasurable.

When we're not off on adventures, you can usually find us surrounded by our amazing friends and family. They're the heart and soul of our lives, and we cherish the countless memories we've made together over the years. In fact, our desire to spend quality time with our loved ones was a driving force behind our decision to have a destination wedding. We want to create an experience where we can celebrate our love surrounded by the people who mean the most to us, rather than just for one fleeting day.

To be so loved is a privelege. We cannot wait to embark on this next chapter of our lives surrounded by those we hold dear.

With love and excitement,

Richard & Keily
